The Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council (SWFRPC) is an IRS 170(c)1 organization, and Florida Statute 186.505 allows the SWFRPC to accept donations. As a government entity, any donations and contributions are tax deductible, as they are exclusively for a public purpose. The SWFRPC does not engage a professional solicitor, and 100 percent of the funds generated will be used to support the SWFRPC. The SWFRPC federal tax identification number is 59-1515448 and the consumer certificate of exception as issued by the Florida Department of Revenue is 46-07-113386-53C.
